Today is a special day for Cameron and in some way me too. Today Cameron started his 1st day of 7th grade. I met someone very special on my 1st day of 7th grade. I wonder who Cameron might meet today? Boy, time flies.

Yesterday I had my third cub scout meeting as the den leader. This time I did less preperation, and more thinking about how to have fun. I had two less boys but double the fun.
This Friday our Pack will be holding a cardboard box derby so I thought I’d give the boys a headstart. We basically took boxes and cut holes for the head and arms and then decorated them with cups, construction paper, tin foil and whatever I could find in my craft box.
The real fun was when we where leaving and I told them to practice race to the side walk and back. It was surprisingly fun!
I asked Evan to draw a picture about where he saw God in this world. It is for a project to be displayed at the annual Pot-of-Gold festival at St.Patricks on Saturday.
He said, “Dad, I know where God is… he is always beside me.” Amazed, I said, ok now draw it. Then he drew this.
Lisa and Cam are on their way to DC for the 5th Grade Saftey Patrol trip…here they are looking for the bus. It was very special seeing them off. Evan and I felt kinda weird walking back to the car, but we knew they would be going on a great adventure. All of us (except Evan) have text messaging on our phones and have been practicing our messaging skills. We plan to stay in touch while they travel north.
