I thought we were not in, but I guess the win against Auburn at the SEC tournament helped them squeak by.

This afternoon I watched Cameron play goalie for St. Patricks. WOW! It was awesome to see cameron playing soccer again. I loved the way he played a commanding leading role for the team. As the keeper, he was constantly praising each of his team members and giving them direction. Constant communication.
As a kid I played soccer (never keeper) and Cameron has it down. As he put it after the game, “Dad, the Keeper is the coach on the field.” Even though it was not a strong opponent, he stopped all that came to him. He had a strong defense. I think Kathy R. stopped 4 times on score atempts.
Today I went to the Gators v. The Citadel and watched the Gators cruise through another win. [UF 70 CIT 19]
I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to get a picture of Mr. 2-Bits. Thanks Jess! Today was his last time he will be cheering at Florida games. He started 60 years ago today during a game against The Citadel. What a great treat! He was coming off the field after the start of the game, probably right after his last cheer.
Thanks Mr. 2-Bits for all you have done for 60 years!!
This was the ending of Cameron’s BB game tonight. It went to overtime and then a teammate, Ryan Fisher, hit this..
Yesterday Cameron, after 2 previous tries, made the Varsity Basketball team at St. Patricks!
We were so proud of him. His mom got him some new basketball shoes that looked huge, but I know fit just right.
He was all smiles hanging with his friends after the try-outs.
I am so proud he did it and even prouder that he tried.
On Saturday some dear friends came up to tailgate and watch the game. Kenny and Esther are one of the oldest couple friends I have. I have known them for 19 years. Kenny and I went to college at the same time at Florida but never met. Doesn’t matter, we have made up for it many times. They arrived at at 1pm and we decided to go to Publix for lunch and some pre-game food. In true Kenny fashion we got a dozen Lamb cuts and a couple of flank steaks. We marrinated them in olive oil, garlic & salt and pepper. In addition to the food Kenny brought already pre-mixed Kenny “beverages”. The game was awesome but the pre-game was special.
