Merry Christmas to All!
This is Sarah, Sid, Cameron, Evan & I at the Yearling Restaurant in Cross Creek, Florida. The boys ate alligator for the 1st time, but would not try the frog legs. :> Thank you Sid & Sarah for a wonderful time and dinner.

I found this new resturant less than a mile from my office. Its called Buddha Belly. I think its going to be one of my favorities. The owner also runs a favorite, Steamers. I used to (still do) go to Steamers all of the time when in college. This is a picture of my steak burger and my zucchini fries.
Yesterday the losers developing an unnamed development on the corner of 13th st and University tore down a Gainesville landmark. I think it wrong and believe that if this continues, Gainesville will look a lot like South Florida. Burrito Brothers Taco Co. will continue despite tearing down the brick and mortar. Standing on the street this morning reminded me of all of the times I walked through those doors (or waited outside to get in). I was very temped to grab a brick, but decided I would honor them by buying more tacos.

Tonight I was treated by my cousin Robin at The Palace Cafe in New Orleans. I highly recommend it. This is my main course, the softshell crab with encrusted andouille sausage. Thanks Darren!

I was in town to provide software training.
I had dinner at this place while in Chicago this week. I went to this place in 2004 with my friend Mike and we loved it!It is a wonderful “establishment”. So, on this trip I wanted to return but could not remember the name or where it was. (Mike will remember when we first tried to find it we walked forever and also could not remember the name). This time I remembered the general direction….the fact that it was on a corner…Italian….old….family owned…. Again we walked and walked, in the rain, windy and 40 degrees….But it was well worth it.
I’m blogging this to remember the next time. :>

The movie “Mad Dog and Glory” filmed here too.
