Yesterday I took Evan to the swamp to see the Gators beat UK. We met Ernie and Grace. By the start of the 2nd QTR it was a blowout. By the start of the 3rd QTR we where on the way to the car.

On Saturday some dear friends came up to tailgate and watch the game. Kenny and Esther are one of the oldest couple friends I have. I have known them for 19 years. Kenny and I went to college at the same time at Florida but never met. Doesn’t matter, we have made up for it many times. They arrived at at 1pm and we decided to go to Publix for lunch and some pre-game food. In true Kenny fashion we got a dozen Lamb cuts and a couple of flank steaks. We marrinated them in olive oil, garlic & salt and pepper. In addition to the food Kenny brought already pre-mixed Kenny “beverages”. The game was awesome but the pre-game was special.

Today Cameron, Evan, Uncle Rob and I went to Florida Field and saw UF beat Hawaii 56-10. It rained on the way in enough to make us miss the first 7 minutes, but the weather held and it was a good game. It was very overcast and windy. The best way to go the swamp for a 12:30 kick off.

From my Phone – My seats in the north sunshine section.
NEW YORK (AP) — Tim Tebow took a few deep breaths, steadied himself, then plowed through his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech much the same way he takes on tacklers — fast and furious.
“I am fortunate, fortunate for a lot of things,” Tebow said. “God truly blessed me and this just adds on. It’s an honor. I’m so happy to be here.”
Tonight Cameron, Kenny, Jonathan, Samuel, Thomas and I tailgated then went to watch the Gators take on the ‘Noles. It was my nephews Samuel & Thomas’s 1st time ever at a college game. It was a great honor to be the one to take them. I didn’t even try to influence them in their upcoming college search. The ‘F’ hats I bought them was for their lastname, not for the mighty Florida gators. Certainly not to remind them of their first time at the swamp. :> I think what influenced me most was my uncles (and an Aunt) on my decision way back then. It is fun being Uncle Paul.
It was great it was a UF v. FSU and even better to kick their butt 45-12.

On Saturday I must mention it was a heartbreak loss. we had the (second) Tigers on the ropes going into the last minute. Actually, they had us in the last several minutes..
This week off, then we play Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday.
Go TEBOW kill some Wildcats!
I like the Tebow above better…
