I just finished reading The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver.    It was a great book!   I love the fact the Taylor, the main character,  leaves home to escape the dreadful idea of being a young single pregnant girl to only find herself right in the middle of making similar life decisions.  Just turned completely around.

I normally stick to books about Florida, humor & crime (I know, a arrow scope of material) but I decided to read the books Cameron has to read  for summer reading for 9th grade.   I am so glad I did because I feel it has opened my mind to a whole new world in terms of reading.    Oh, did I say that I am completely blowing Cameron away in his reading.. :>

Today was a wonderful day. The boys had two Christmas’s today, one at my sister’s house in Lakes by the Bay and the second at my mom’s house in Cutler Ridge.

It was the 1st time in 21 years that I spent Christmas at home with my family in Miami.  A special thanks to my mom and sister for making everything so wonderful for the boys and I.   My entire family has been great and I truly love each and every one of them.

This afternoon everyone gathered in Homestead at my aunt Roberta’s house for Christmas dinner.

This is Sarah, Sid, Cameron, Evan & I at the Yearling Restaurant in Cross Creek, Florida.  The boys ate alligator for the 1st time, but would not try the frog legs.  :>   Thank you Sid & Sarah for a wonderful time and dinner.
