This sometimes happens by choice. Or sometimes they find that it has happened to them without them even noticing.
When you fall in love with somebody, they have an open path straight to your heart. Without you even realizing it other things can just ride in on the path, politcal ideas, favorite bands, writers or pet peeves. And where those things are concerned, you basically become the person you love, you are their proxy.
We don’t always become proxies for the people we love, it happens with friends, in business settings, or in politics. And when it happens it can be very confusing. When you really step in for someone else and substitute yourself for somebody else, it can be very hard to tell if you are doing the right things at all. Are you doing what they want or what you want?
